Take a closer look at last year's competition!

The Innovators’ Pitch 2016 was all about the Internet of Things, Digital Health and Mobility. More than 100 startups from 15 countries applied for the competition. Nine finalists presented their company to the jury and a huge audience live on stage.

Digital Health

Digital health is not only empowering people to better track, manage and improve their own and their families’ health. The rise of digital health solutions also has the potential to really make a difference for people with chronic or rare diseases. Digital health alters the nature of the doctor-patient communication through increasing virtual treatment, self-care and engagement.  Innovative solutions can contribute to better disease awareness and information, earlier diagnosis as well as to improved adherence.

Mobility

In a world of growing cities and increasing congestion a mobility revolution is on the rise: New mobility services and urban infrastructure solutions are key to making life easier and more comfortable for people and more sustainable for our planet. On-demand shuttle services, smart delivery and logistics systems and self-driving cars are no longer visions of the future. These innovations give us a little hint of how the infrastructure of tomorrow will look like.

It means big changes for consumers, governments and the industry. Do you make life simpler and more efficient through smart automation or analytics? We are thrilled to hear about your solution!

Digital Health

Medicus from Vienna, Austria / Dubai, UAE presented the most convincing contribution in the Digital Health category: Medicus developed an app that displays blood test results in a way that is easy for all patients to understand. Machine learning also enables the Medicus app to interpret all medical findings in real time, assess risks and provide health tips.

Mobility

Synfioo from Potsdam, Germany finished in first place in the Mobility category. Synfioo provides complete transport monitoring to minimise the impact of disturbances such as traffic jams, strikes or blockades. The Synfioo platform pools all of the available data on individual types of transport. Logisticians can then call up and work with this data in their usual work environments.

Internet of Things

Skysense from Berlin, Germany / Trento, Italy won the Internet of Things category: Skysense provides automated drone inspections as a service that does not require any human intervention. The Italian founders developed a unique solution that is compatible with most of the professional drones nowadays on the market and able to address application-specific requirements.
